Wanhuida stays on top of WTR ranking in 2026
Time:Feb 04 2026

In the 2026 edition of the World Trademark Review 1000 - The World's Leading Trademark Professionals, which is released on 28th January 2026, Wanhuida Intellectual Property has topped both litigation and prosecution rankings for yet another year. The firm is rated in the Gold Band as a first-tier PRC firm for both "Prosecution and Strategy" and "Enforcement and Litigation" category.

Known for being instrumental in shaping China’s trademark jurisprudence, Wanhuida is hailed by WTR as one of China’s most authoritative IP outfits. The clients recommended the firm for “offering high-quality services and advice at a fair price” and for being a safe pair of hands serving “international companies which lack a domestic legal division”.

Founding Partner and Management Committee Chair BAI Gang is ranked by WTR as a Luminary for his stature as “a thought leader whose influence extends beyond concrete matters to legislative reform and policy development” and “a trusted adviser for high-stakes matters and strategic brand protection”.

Partner and Management Committee Member Dr. HUANG Hui also receives individual honor from WTR in the “Enforcement and Litigation” field. Lauded as “a go-to counsel for multinationals facing intricate challenges”, Dr. HUANG is known as “a powerhouse” with “a nuanced understanding of Chinese trademark law and cross-border dynamics” and the “ability to steer complex disputes to successful outcomes”.

Other recommended individuals within the firm include two other partners and Management Committee Members REN Haiyan (Prosecution and Strategy) and Jason YAO (Enforcement and Litigation), as well as two Partners LEI Yongjian and LI Yunquan (both in Prosecution and Strategy).

Haiyan is praised for “standing out for her mastery in portfolio management and anti-counterfeiting strategies” and her ability to “combine precision with foresight in safeguarding brand equity”. Jason wins strong endorsements from the clients for delivering “pragmatic and commercially attuned” solutions, his active role in “headline-grabbing disputes” and his “tactical acumen in high-value enforcement actions”.

WTR speaks highly of LEI Yongjian and LI Yunquan, naming the duo “the next generation of leaders driving Wanhuida’s prosecution practice”. Yunquan is commended for “his deft handling of well-known trademark recognition and retrieval of squatted marks” and Yongjian is praised for devising “very creative avenues for properly enforcing and caring for the IP rights in China”.

This year’s guide spans almost 90 jurisdictions, highlighting the expertise, leadership and forward-thinking driving the global trademark industry. WTR’s dedicated team of researchers and analysts scrutinised thousands of client references and conducted over 1,000 interviews, with input from some of the world's biggest brand owners and more law firms and agencies participating in the research than ever before. Individuals qualify for inclusion in the WTR 1000 upon receiving sufficient positive feedback from market sources with knowledge of their practice and the market in which they operate. Firms qualify for a listing on the basis of their depth of expertise, market presence and the level of work on which they are typically instructed. The results are presented in bands – gold, silver and bronze – to reflect the reputations of teams and professionals relative to their peers in the field.
