On September 10th - 14th, 2025, the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is convened at Shougang Park, Beijing. Themed “Global Services, Shared Prosperity”, the event attracts participants from 85 countries and international organizations.
As part of the CIFTIS and a major international exchange platform for the IP service industry, the 2025 International Conference on the Development of Intellectual Property Services, which is jointly organized by the China Council for International Investment Promotion and the Capital Intellectual Property Services Association (CIPSA), is held on September 11th. The conference has been held eight years in a row.
Bai Gang, Founding Partner and Management Committee Chair of Wanhuida Intellectual Property, moderates the morning sessions of the conference, in his capacity of CIPSA President.
The conference is kicked off with the opening remarks delivered by Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner, China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), Zhou Liquan, Deputy Director General, Beijing intellectual Property Office and Zhou Xiaoyan, Executive Vice-President, China Council for International Investment Promotion.

The remarks are followed by the launch of the “2025 National Intellectual Property Service Industry Statistical Survey Report”, the “Action Plan for Piloting Intellectual Property Financing Ecosystem in Beijing”, as well as the “Analysis of Typical Intellectual Property Cases Involving Foreign Elements”.
Mr. Bai then hosts the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between CIPSA and the Brazilian Association of Industrial Property Agents (ABAPI) and other institutions.

He later moderates the Thematic Dialogue on the International Development Trends of Intellectual Property Services. The dialogue features heavy weight speakers including Zhao Changxin, Deputy President, Beijing Internet Court, Kanjo Shadrack Kobr, Deputy Director of the Development of Technology and Intellectual Property Department, Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development of Cameron, Andreas Braendgaard, Counselor at the Embassy of Denmark in China, Michael Caine, Vice President of the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI), Okayama Taichiro, Director of Intellectual Property Department, Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) Beijing Office, as well as Paulo Souza, Strategic counseling expert, Brazilian Association of Industrial Property Agents (ABAPI).
The panelists share insights on a slew of thought-provoking topics and regional/jurisdictional practice, including “Intellectual property protection empowering cultural and creative development of cultural creativity”, “Denmark’s Intellectual Property Protection Practices”, “The role of Japan’s intellectual property protection and service practices in supporting international trade and economic development”, “Breaking barriers: regional intellectual property policy synergy and resource sharing strategies”, as well as “A comprehensive overview of intellectual property rights in cutting-edge technology”.
