Xiaoyang is a senior counsel with Wanhuida Intellectual Property, with her practice focusing on intellectual property law. Xiaoyang is experienced in both patent prosecution and litigation.
Xiaoyang has been practicing intellectual property law for more than 10 years. Before she joined Wanhiuda, Xiaoyang worked for a world-renowned IP firm managing intellectual property matters in China on behalf of foreign clients including Fortune 500 companies.
Xiaoyang’s technical fields cover, among other things, mechanical engineering, automotive technology, chemistry, food technology and materials science.

In the litigation area, Xiaoyang represented a magnate in the life sciences sector in patent infringement and invalidation cases and acted on behalf of a world-leading food company in a patent invalidation case related to large-scale equipment, vigorously fighting for the clients’ interests and obtaining favorable outcomes.
For non-contentious matters, Xiaoyang prosecuted patent applications and formulated patent portfolio strategies in China for foreign clients. Xiaoyang also drafted patent applications for multinational enterprises on inventions completed in China for filing in Europe or the United States. Xiaoyang further assisted a Chinese client with its overseas expansion and collaborated with a foreign law firm in technical and legal discussions to help the clients to obtain FTO opinions.
