On November 30th, Conference on the Patent Infringement Defenses in Civil Litigation organized by Beijing First Intermediate Court was held in Beijing. Officials from judicial systems and SIPO, representatives from QBPC as well as relevant experts and scholars attended the conference and had heated discussion on the following topics: General Nature of Patent Infringement Defenses, Non-profit Purpose Defenses, Prior Art Defenses, Prior Use Defenses, Exhaustion of the Rights, Legitimate Source, Laches and Abuse Defenses.
