From November 24-26, the 1st China-EU Customs Expert Group Meeting on IPR was held in Shanghai. The meeting, which was jointly hosted by the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) and the European Commission, aimed at strengthening the customs cooperation on IPR enforcement.
The workshop with the theme “Counterfeiting and Piracy - The Risks for Consumers”, sponsored by the EU-China Project on the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR2), was held on 26th. Wan Hui Da Attorneys, Mr. Chen Xiansheng and Ms. Gu Yi attended the workshop.
Customs officials from China and the EU, and the industry representatives from Europe attended the meeting.
The event aims to build direct contacts between customs administrations and the business community, by gathering best practices and advice from industry on the ways to improve cooperation and tackle emerging challenges, with focus on certain industries and products.
