On May 27, Beijing Municipal Administration for Industry issued the Bulletin, which announced that 117 pieces of registered trademarks owned by the local registrants in its jurisdiction were recognized as "2008 Beijing Famous Trademarks".

WHD trademark "万慧达知识产权" No. 1587758 (Chinese translation of "Wan Hui Da Intellectual Property"), which was registered in Class 42 with the goods and services in respect of which the use of the mark was approved as "legal services, licensing of intellectual property, intellectual property consultancy, legal research, copyright management, etc."

Beijing Famous Trademarks, which are the registered marks recognized by BAIC according to the stipulation prescribed by "Rules for Recognizing & Protecting Beijing Famous Trademark", are valid within three years since the date of publication.

The mark "万慧达知识产权" was registered on June 14, 2001. The mark has been widely used as registered trademark and the company name of the firm since its establishment in 1997. During the long-term use, the mark has obtained certain reputation in the IPR service industry.

Moreover, the applications of three other marks for Beijing Famous Trademark filed by WHD for its clients were also granted. These marks include "北京友谊宾馆" No. 875943 (Chinese translation of "Beijing Friendship Hotel") in Class 42 "Accommodation (Hotel, Boarding Houses)", "权金城" (Chinese translation of "Powealth")  in Class 43 "Restaurants, Public bath", and "金源福城" No. 4003220 in Class 43 "Canteens, Restaurants".
