Overview

Chen Beiyin is a Senior Associate based in the firm's Guangzhou Office, where she has been practicing since 2007.

 

Beiyin provides comprehensive intellectual property protection solutions for domestic and overseas clients, encompassing investigation and evidence collection, administrative enforcement, Customs protection, online enforcement involving e-commerce platforms, as well as domain name monitoring and dispute resolution. Her practice also extends to civil litigation and criminal proceedings. Case

Beiyin's practice primarily focuses on IP enforcement and litigation. Her notable achievements include:

  • Successfully stopping over 200 infringers from using, without authorization, client's registered trademarks on storefronts;
  • Aggressively enforcing the client's trademark right against the infringer using, without authorization, an infringing mark in connection with goods or services that do not compete with those associated with the client's mark (trademark dilution), a case listed as one of the Top 10 exemplary trademark infringement cases in 2016 by Shanghai AIC;
  • Representing the interests of brand owners in criminal cases, which led to the conviction, imprisonment (up to 10 years) of and hefty fines of the counterfeiters. These cases were consistently recognized as "Top 10 IP Cases" by authorities including the Guangdong Provincial People's Procuratorate, Guangdong Trademark Association, Guangdong IP Protection Association, and QBPC.
