Gao Shusu is an intellectual property lawyer specializing in trademarks, copyrights, domain names, and anti-unfair competition. Her practice has a focus on domestic and outbound trademark registration, trademark litigation, copyright and domain name protection, enforcement against unfair competition practice, and cross-border negotiation.
Shusu has been practicing intellectual property law since 2019. She has prosecuted thousands of domestic and overseas trademark cases. She has developed a global and commercial perspective in managing clients’ trademark portfolios. She also advises clients on trademark squatting and infringement matters, and has achieved highly satisfactory results in many jurisdictions, including China, the European Union, the United States, South Korea, Mozambique, Tunisia, just to name a few.
Her practice also extends to well-known trademark recognition through administrative and judicial routes. Her advice has been sought by the clients in matters like branding strategy and securing overseas IP subsidies by leveraging policy support.
Shusu used to be part of the research task force of "A Comparative Study of Trademark Registration and Authorization Systems in Major Countries and Regions", a research project of the China National Intellectual Property Administration. She also served as the chairperson of the third and fourth "Wanhuida Cup" National College Intellectual Property (Trademark) Hot Issues Debating Competition of the China Trademark Association. She is also a sought-after speaker, imparting practical knowhow to help Chinese enterprises go global.
