Baihe Liu is a patent counsel of mechanical field at the firm's Beijing office. Ms. Liu is a licensed patent attorney since 2015, and is also a lawyer in China since 2019.
Ms. Liu embarked on the career of patent practice in 2013 serving both multinational and domestic corporations. Ms. Liu had served as a patent attorney regarding patent prosecution matters for three years before mainly shifting to patent litigations area. - Representing a foreign company in the daily necessities field to initiate multiple rounds of invalidation petition on a patent written in unconventional manner and successfully invalidated the target patent. This case was recognized as a “Typical Case of Patent Reexamination and Invalidation in 2023” by the CNIPA.
- Representing a foreign company in the field of life sciences to enforce patent rights. For customized products, after more than half a year of investigation and communication, successfully purchased infringing products from the target company and filed lawsuits before the court. In the meanwhile, successfully defended the validity of the patents at issue in patent invalidation proceedings initiated by the opposing party.
- Representing a foreign company in the field of food packaging to enforce patent rights. For large-scale equipment, successfully persuaded the court to conduct on-site evidence preservation.
- Representing a foreign sporting goods company to respond to patent infringement litigation. Successfully invalidated the plaintiff's patent, thus exempting the client from infringement accusations.
- Having relatively rich experience in providing consulting services related to patent application, invalidation, and litigation proceedings for clients.
