In the litigation area, Xiaoyang represented a well-known foreign company in patent infringement and invalidation cases in the life sciences sector and acted on behalf of a world-leading foreign company in a patent invalidation case related to large-scale equipment in the food industry.

For non-contentious matters, Xiaoyang prosecuted patent applications and formulated patent portfolio strategies in China for foreign clients. Xiaoyang also drafted patent applications for multinational enterprises on inventions completed in China for filing in Europe or the United States. Xiaoyang further assisted a Chinese client with overseas expansion, and participated in technical and legal discussions with a foreign law firm to help Chinese clients to obtain FTO opinions.
