Overview

Sun Ruirui is a trademark counsel at Wanhuida Intellectual Property, where she has been practicing since 2014. Ruirui is also an attorney-at-law admitted to practice in China. 

 

Ruirui has served many multinational conglomerates as well as prestigious law firms. Her practice focuses on trademark prosecution, enforcement, and litigation. She has represented clients’ interests in hundreds of proceedings concerning trademark application, opposition, invalidation, cancellation and administrative litigation. She also advises clients on trademark portfolio management, trademark enforcement strategy and the formulation of overall plan for brand protection.

 

Ruirui has rich experiences in handling cases involving prior name right protection, trademark squatting and hoarding, and well-known trademark recognition.

 

Ruirui represented a world-renowned press in an opposition case, and successfully protected its well-known trademark on dissimilar goods, which was selected by China National Intellectual Property Administration as one of the exemplary in 2019. She helped one of the world's most recognized premium lifestyle brands obtain the registration of its pattern mark, and the case has been awarded by the China Trademark Association as one of the Leading Cases of the Year 2022-2023.

 

Ruirui was selected into the List of Foreign-Related Lawyers Talent Pool of Beijing Lawyers Association in 2023. She was also qualified to be incorporated into the 2023 Trademark Talent Pool of China Trademark Association and recognized as sub-senior talent.
