The 14th China Trademark Festival (CTF), which is hosted by the China Trademark Association (CTA), jointly organized by Zhongqi Trademark Development Center, Shaanxi Brand Construction Promotion Center and Shaanxi Trademark Association, is convened in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province on November 22 - 25, 2024. The CTF is an annual iconic event of China’s trademark community.

On Friday October 18, 2024, under the auspices of Hangzhou High-Tech Zone (Binjiang) Management Committee and the Binjiang People’s Government of Hangzhou, the “Global Patent Portfolio and Strategy: Symposium on Intellectual Property Protection for Innovations under the Cross-border context” is held in Hangzhou.

On 10-11 October 2024, the global Geographical Indications community meet again in Geneva for the oriGIn 2024 Expert Meeting on GIs Protection and Enforcement. During two days of debate and networking, 180 participants from 35 countries discuss crucial topics related to GI protection and enforcement, from the WIPO Lisbon System and bilateral agreements to challenges in GI registration, conflict with trademarks, evocation beyond the EU, GI used as ingredients, issues related to competition law and online protection.
