On August 1, 2025, Dr. Huang speaks at a symposium hosted by Japan Foods & Biotechnology Intellectual Property Rights Center (JAFBIC) in Osaka. He shares insights on "Trends & Developments on China's Trademark Law and Anti-Unfair Competition Law". Dr. Huang details the latest legislative amends to both laws and offers compliance takeaways featuring profoundness and practicality.

 

The symposium has approximately 50 participants, including corporate in-house counsels and IP practitioners either attending in person or tuning in virtually.

On August 6, 2025, Dr. Huang speaks at the interim meeting of the Asian Issues Studies Working Group, Licensing Executives Society (LES) Japan.

After the presentation, a ceremony is held to celebrate the launch of Dr. Huang's new book: Trademark Law of China (Japanese version). Published by CHISEIDOU Publishing Co., Ltd. in June 2025, the book dissects the chronological evolution and the indispensable function of trademark in modern society, and dives into the legislative history of China's Trademark Law and its convergence with the international practice. Professor TAMURA Yoshiyuki, The University of Tokyo hails the book as the "Encyclopedia of China's Trademark Law". Shunji Sato, Partner of TMI Associates and Board Member, Japan Trademark Association (JTA), attests that the book is "a must-read to all the Japanese trademark practitioners seeking deeper insights into China’s Trademark Law".
