Wanhuida reaping top tier MIP ranking and multiple accolades in 2025

Time:May 30 2025

Wanhuida Intellectual Property proudly announces its remarkable achievements in the IP STARS (Managing IP’s accreditation title) 2025 rankings. The firm has secured two top-tier rankings on the prestigious platform, across “Trade mark prosecution – domestic firms” and “Trade mark disputes – domestic firms”, which affirms its status as a leader in the PRC legal market.

The firm has been a perennial sitting comfortably at the apex of the Chinese trademark market since 2011.

The IP STARS annual rankings identify the top law firms and lawyers across a variety of IP practice areas, making it the most comprehensive and widely respected IP practitioner guide in the legal profession. This year, more than 900 firms have been ranked for their trademark expertise across 59 jurisdictions, including the US and eight individual states. The most recommended firms were selected for ranking after a rigorous and impartial research conducted by MIP’s dedicated team of research analysts in London, New York, and Hong Kong.

This recognition reflects Wanhuida’s ongoing commitment to excellence and its ability to deliver client satisfaction in the most complex IP cases.

The May 30 release also includes the list of IP Stars and the Top 250 Women in IP for 2025.

The IP Stars are senior practitioners who have been recommended or identified as leaders in their firm and/or jurisdiction. The 2025 IP Stars list is primarily based on research information obtained in 2024.

Bai Gang, the firm’s Founding Partner and Management Committee Chair and his fellow partners and management committee members Dr. Huang Hui and Ren Haiyan are selected as “Trade mark star 2025”.

Managing IP also reveals The Top 250 Women in IP to recognise women leaders and senior IP practitioners who consistently go above and beyond for their clients and firms. More than 80 new entrants have been inducted in the top 250 list this year, including trailblazing practitioners from more than 200 firms in over 50 jurisdictions. Ren Haiyan made her debut in the list in 2020 and has remained on that list ever since.

Kingsley Egbuonu, global research editor at IP STARS, who spearheaded the research process for both the Top 250 and practitioner rankings, said research for the Top 250 list primarily considers the work a practitioner has done for her firm and clients, as well as their activities in the IP community.

He added: “A few practitioners recognised this year have dedicated some of their time towards IP education or advocacy work or improving the IP system in their countries or region.”
