On 11th April 2024, the inaugural meeting of the Geographical Indication Committee, China Intellectual Property Society (CIPS) is held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Hosted by CIPS, the meeting is jointly organized by the Patent Examination Cooperation Sichuan Center of the Patent Office, CNIPA and Sichuan Provincial Intellectual Property Society, supported by Sichuan Provincial Intellectual Property Office and Chengdu Municipal Intellectual Property Office.
Gan Shaoning, CIPS Vice President and Ex Vice Commissioner of the CNIPA presides over the meeting. The Working Rules of the CIPS GI Committee is deliberated and passed during the meeting, and the first batch of 33 committee members are elected.
Zhu Zhigang, Partner of Wanhuida Intellectual Property is elected as one of the 33 members of the GI committee.
